No real news this week.
I just want to take a minute to address the release (or lack thereof) of the Cursed Tiki Temple Level Pack.
The Cursed Tiki Temple Level Pack is currently available from a few European countries. It is not currently available in the US.
We do not have any information as to if or when it will release in the US.
While I do not agree with these business practices, Activision has always given themselves a way out. They simply relieve themselves of any responsibility for the statements made in their press releases.
At the bottom of every press release they send out there is always some fine print. The boring legal statements that no one ever takes the time to read.
But if you take a closer look at one of these statements, you'll see what I mean.
Cautionary Note Regarding Forward-looking Statements: Information in this press release that involves Activision Publishing's expectations, plans, intentions or strategies regarding the future, including statements about the expected features, functionality, products and release dates of Skylanders Imaginators and the Cursed Tiki Temple level pack are forward-looking statements that are not facts and involve a number of risks and uncertainties. Factors that could cause Activision Publishing's actual future results to differ materially from those expressed in the forward-looking statements set forth in this release include unanticipated product delays and other factors identified in the risk factors sections of Activision Blizzard's most recent annual report on Form 10-K and any subsequent quarterly reports on Form 10-Q. The forward-looking statements in this release are based upon information available to Activision Publishing and Activision Blizzard as of the date of this release, and neither Activision Publishing nor Activision Blizzard assumes any obligation to update any such forward-looking statements. Forward-looking statements believed to be true when made may ultimately prove to be incorrect. These statements are not guarantees of the future performance of Activision Publishing or Activision Blizzard and are subject to risks, uncertainties and other factors, some of which are beyond its control and may cause actual results to differ materially from current expectations.
If you read this carefully, you'll see phrases like: not facts, no obligation to update, and may ultimately prove to be incorrect.
Basically, if plans change or something goes wrong, they have no obligation to tell us anything.
As I said before, I definitely don't agree with these decisions, but that's how they operate.
If you want to get your hands on this pack as soon as possible. You can always import it.
You'll be paying a bit more than you would if it shows up locally, but you can guarantee that you get the pack.
As of this writing you can import it from:
You may even be able to find some sellers on eBay (UK) that will ship to the US.
You can expect to pay a minimum of $40-50 US if you want to import now, but it's currently the only option.
Hopefully I'll have some better news for you soon.
