A big thank you to @jasoninquires for taking in more E3 coverage than most people can handle over the past three days to stumble upon this gem.
As part of YouTube's annual E3 coverage, Geoff Keighley brings on big name guests to find out more about their products and where their companies are headed.
Today one of his guests was Activision's CEO, Eric Hirshberg.
Let's roll the clip:
Activision CEO on @Skylanders: "It's a "franchise we’re still servicing & interested in different ways. That’s something we’re still behind” pic.twitter.com/xlFLXEEvko

“That’s a franchise we’re still servicing and interested in, in different ways obviously, but that’s something we’re still behind.” ~ Eric Hirshberg, Activision CEO
While there were no definite statements made, here is my quick take on the quote:
They are not planning to pull the plug on the Skylanders franchise as a whole anytime soon, but we may not see more of what we've seen in the past.
We know that we still have Skylanders Academy (Seasons 2 & 3) as well as the Skylanders mobile game coming up. As for console play though, I don't think they have much in the works.
Interpret it how you like, but that's all we know for now.
